"Inside Out" Missions Week

RootedInCommunityThe purpose of our Missions Week is to serve our church body as well as our community, and so we will have an "inside-out" focus for this week. On Monday through Thursday half the day will be spent serving around Ebenezer with various projects that need to be done, and the other half of the day will be ministering in various locations in our community. We have plans to serve at New Bethany Ministries, Fellowship Community, Victory Valley, as well as a project to help a neighbor in need. In addition we will be holding a "Wash for Life" car wash to raise funds for the Bethlehem Carenet ministry. Friday will be a celebration day and we will be going to Dorney Park and concluding with a picnic.

Please remember that the Missions Week is a requirement for those who would like to participate in the High School Missions Trip next summer! (the exception would be a teen who has already served on a missions trip in the past).

The cost for Missions Week for each student will be $50, and this will include Dorney Park admission and the Picnic on Friday. As with any activity (but especially with missions week) please do not allow finances to be something that prevents a student from coming. We have scholarship money set aside, and we want to make sure every student who desires to be a part of this week can participate. See Heather Hunsberger or myself if you would need assistance with this.

Students should pack a sack lunch Monday - Friday, and they should eat breakfast before they arrive at church each morning.

The sign up deadline for Missions Week is Wednesday, July 8th. Please see Heather or myself if you want to participate and have not yet signed up.

There is going to be a meeting for all those participating in Missions Week on Sunday July 19th after the 3rd service. This meeting will go from 1pm - 2:30pm, and parents are invited to attend as well.  Pizza will be provided for lunch that day.

Please email or call me if you have any further questions about this wonderful service opportunity!
